Who We Are & How We're Helping
The Parents and Teachers Support Association (PTSA) is an association between the parental community and the teaching community of St Catherine's that builds and strengthens the community spirit within the School through teamwork and volunteerism. PTSA welcomes and supports the formation of friendships and networks across the parent, teacher and student body, provide a communication channel between families and the school, supports new families ("Family Buddies") but also supports the school with various internal projects and events. During the year, PTSA organises several fund-raising events, all of them are self-funded with any surplus funds raised, are allocated towards projects that benefit the whole school community. The Halloween and Christmas Events are the biggest so far annual events which have seen great success over the past years and so much enjoyed by the whole community, especially the students. But PTSA does not stop there; We supported Hope Cafe in Kypseli for many years through donations of food, clothing and anything else needed from time to time, we are in the process of taking on another Charity project, we run a 2nd hand uniform Closet with great success, we recycle old school uniform clothes, we support the School with equipment where needed, all for the greater good of the school community. Team work, Kindness, Respect for the environment are always part of the PTSA values and drive all of our self motivated and self driven members to do and offer more. Nothing can be accomplished without the help of Volunteers so we invite you all to come on board! Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you.
The PTSA is completely volunteer led and run. There is an OPEN invitation to anyone within the school community (parents and teachers) who would like to step up and be more involved. Opportunities throughout the year are varied according to the needs of the School and its community, and always great fun. For those relatively new to the school, it is an excellent way to meet other parents, staff and students.

How we Communicate
PTSA is using ClassList, an award winning social parent platform currently used by approximately 80 schools around the world (approximately 60 in the UK and 20 rest of the world). ClassList encourages inclusivity and community. Announcements reach the community easily, all PTSA information is communicated under one platform so none misses out important information about school events, charity actions, cultural and active events, important school information and announcements. Each class is also grouped, managed by class reps, etc. Every new parent who joins the school, is invited to sign up to ClassList and immediately is part of the overall school community. PTSA occasionally runs training sessions for the class reps and soon a Guide will be also availble.
